![]() Originally Published Tuesday, March 31, 2015 There are hundreds, thousands of books, magazine articles, blogs, and posts about being positive, and having a upbeat outlook on life. Maybe you are thinking "that is a nice thought, but how can I have a positive outlook when I'm struggling with a tough situation, or have a person who is making my life difficult in some way?" There were times in my life when I read those books, and articles, and thought "I can't just forget what's going on, and suddenly make myself into little miss sunshine". Turning things around when we are deep inside our problems, or upset about something, seems like it may be impossible to do, but strangely it can be done quite easily with a bit of practice. The next time you are feeling overwhelmed or even mad about what's going on in your life - do the following:
This method may not come to you easily at first, and it may not seem natural, but after you try it a few times, you'll understand that this is within your power. We can choose our emotional state, good or bad, it is truly up to us. We can't control what the world will throw at us, but we can make a choice about our mood. The great thing about this little trick is that you can do it for yourself whenever you need to make things better, which is a gift... Give it a try, you may be surprised at how easy and effective it can be.

![]() Originally Published Friday, March 20, 2015 During my struggle with chronic low-back pain I persistently sought out a solution in the physical body. I felt the pain in my back, and I had tightened muscles there, so I assumed it was a physical problem. I could not have been more surprised to find that my physical pain was just a symptom of the real problem. When we hear that our pain is caused by tension, it may sound like a foreign idea, but perhaps you already know that your muscles are tight, and maybe you have been told that by a doctor or a chiropractor. Where is that tension coming from? Why is it happening? How can you make it go away? Those were all questions that I had as a suffered with chronic pain for decades. Happily, I was able to figure it out for myself, find the answer, and literally make my tension, and pain disappear in weeks. Maybe you too suffer from chronic pain. Perhaps resolving your tension, and better managing your emotions could be the answer for you too? ![]() Originally Published Wednesday, March 11, 2015 There were certain 'truths' that I held while I had chronic low-back pain, and other pain daily for a very long time:
These ideas were developed from the knowledge I gained by listening to friends, family, the media and healthcare providers. I felt I had to adhere to those truths, otherwise it would have been too difficult to believe that what was happening to me was 'normal'. Now that this healing has occurred, and my pain is completely gone, it is clear to me that my truths were not true.
Eventually, I found that what I created from inside myself - I had to cure myself. Of course, I speak of my own experience, and each individual has a unique situation to work through. However, you might be a lot like me - think about it... ![]() Originally Published Friday, March 6, 2015 More than a year ago I created a method to take control of the physical manifestation of my chronic pain, and the emotional issues that created this condition. The results of that endeavor were beyond my wildest imagination. I cured two decades of chronic pain in less than two months! That was a fantastic turn of events for me, but I came to understand that I am the type of person who is predisposed to having tension dumped in various muscles in my body. So, sometimes I do feel a bit of tightening, or pain creeping into my back or my knee when I'm in a stressful situation. It's been happening to me for many, many years, and I imagine will continue to happen. These days that situation doesn't bother me at all, because I know that I can stop, relax my muscles, take control, and make the pain quickly fade and disappear. All of this happens now in seconds, and it is such a comfort to know that I can turn that pain around on a dime, whenever I need to do so. If you suffer from tension-based chronic pain, and are able to realize the power to control your mind and body, you will find you are filled with a feeling of freedom and peace. The ability to stop one's pain is empowering. I hope that all sufferers of chronic pain can have this ability, and find freedom from pain. Originally Published Tuesday, March 3, 2015
In my experience - yes they can! Please check out this really enlightening 8 minute radio story about the research of Dr. Vincent J. Felitti. Dr. Felitti found in his work with patients; that repressed emotions were a predictor for many serious medical conditions. He developed a series of questions called ACE (Adverse Childhood Experiences) and discovered that adults who answered yes to four or more of the ACE questions were generally twice as likely to have heart disease, in comparison to people whose ACE score was zero. The research also found that women with five Yes answers or more were at least four times as likely to have depression as those with zero ACE points. This research is in keeping with my own personal findings; that negative emotions can cause physical manifestations in the body such as low-back pain, sciatica, and other chronic pain. In my case, I found that normal negative emotions were the cause of my ongoing pain for all those years. Understanding a managing our emotions can not only keep us from debilitating chronic pain, but may save us from life threatening disease as well. |
