There are hundreds, thousands of books, magazine articles, blogs, and posts about being positive, and having a upbeat outlook on life.
Maybe you are thinking "that is a nice thought, but how can I have a positive outlook when I'm struggling with a tough situation, or have a person who is making my life difficult in some way?"
There were times in my life when I read those books, and articles, and thought "I can't just forget what's going on, and suddenly make myself into little miss sunshine".
Turning things around when we are deep inside our problems, or upset about something, seems like it may be impossible to do, but strangely it can be done quite easily with a bit of practice.
The next time you are feeling overwhelmed or even mad about what's going on in your life - do the following:

We can choose our emotional state, good or bad, it is truly up to us. We can't control what the world will throw at us, but we can make a choice about our mood.
