Low (Editor), Ronald J. Polinsky (Editor). In the Publisher Summary of one of the book's chapters the text coveys information about the autonomic nervous system (ANS), psychological stress and it describes the complex action of hormones on the body. The summary also contains the following line: This begs the question - if the autonomic response to stress frequently leads to medical care - then why haven't we heard this from our medical community? If a medical professional you've visited for medical care has described your reaction to stress as the cause of your medical problem, and outlined how you should resolve it, please tell us about it in the comments below.
