I've spent the past year researching, writing, and developing this book, and I am so glad that it is now here, and available to help those who suffer from tension based chronic pain. This book is a description of my personal health journey in which I overcame decades of daily musculoskeletal pain and discomfort, and found complete recovery. This experience completely changed my understanding of health, and fitness, and utterly transformed view about the rest of my life.

After finding relief, my feelings of joy, freedom, and liberation is one that I hope to bring to everyone who is suffering from chronic musculoskeletal pain. What has worked here for me as described in this chronic pain book, may or may not work for each person suffering from chronic back-neck-shoulder pain, because each case is different; but it is truly my wish that it will bring relief to many readers.

If someone reads this book, and learns from my own experience, and is able to achieve a measure of relief from his/her own chronic pain, then this project will be a success.

The proposition that physical and mental health are intertwined; and that physical ailments can be exacerbated, or even caused by emotional stress, is now widely accepted as a general principal in both the mainstream and alternative medical communities.  This connection between physical and emotional health is a concept with deep roots in the history of medicine. Both Eastern and Western traditions in the ancient and early modern world – from Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine, to classical Greek philosophers such as Plato and Aristotle, and European intellectuals as diverse as Descarte and Kant – have speculated on the ways in which the health of mind and body are mutually dependent on one another.
Most of us already know that our minds and bodies are connected physiologically but how and to what degree? In the hustle bustle of our busy lives, it can be difficult for many of us see how this connection affects us in the day-to-day.

My search for a cure for my chronic pain syndrome led me to make some simple changes to my life. Not in a million years would I have believed that the answer to my chronic pain condition would be so easily integrated into my life, and be able resolve my pain so quickly. These changes allowed me to an understanding that mind-to-body synergy affects us all on a very profound level. A catalyst for writing this book was half a lifetime of chronic pain that was often near debilitating, and which robbed the author of joy, energy and a positive spirit.

Hopefully, sufferers will read this story, and find this simple, free, intrinsic ability they have within themselves right now, so they can break their own cycle of chronic pain for good.
