De-miserate Yourself

Perhaps you wake-up in the morning, and as soon as you are conscious, you're finding that you already feel as if the day has gotten over on you before it has even begun.
You've got problems, not just one problem, but several problems that seem overwhelmingly oppressive. There are family issues, a disagreement with a neighbor or friend, some difficulties at work, and health or financial worries to contend with each day. How can you ever feel satisfied with life while all of these troubles are constantly pushing their way into your consciousness?
HOW INDEED?

There is a way - De-Miserate Yourself. Follow the steps below to begin to de-miserate your life.
  1. Acknowledge that you are human, and as long as you are alive - there will be some problem, or issue you will have to contend with. That is just the way of the world.
  2. Acknowledge that your emotions about this issue are an important part of your misery.
Example: Carla, David and Tony all have the same exact problem.
Carla creates a plan to deal with the issue, works her plan, and tracks her progress. David looks at the problem, and decides he will de-prioritize these thoughts, and chooses to let them go.
Tony is consumed by the issue, he loses sleep, he can't concentrate when spending time with friends or family, he loses focus at his job, and begins to feel physical pain from all the stress that he fosters inside of himself. (Don't be a Tony...)
  3. Understand that you control how much stress and negative energy you will devote to any issue or thought in your mind. You may at any time lower or stop the levels of stress you are feeling. It is a choice - your choice. How do you do that? There are many ways. Seek out the methods that work for you. This is a very important skill that can serve you all your life.
  4. Take a breath. You are doing the best you can with the current situation, and you should give yourself a pat on the back for all your efforts.
When we are deep inside of a stressful situation it can seem impossible to just STOP all the worry, and fear that we attach to it. Thankfully, we do have the power everyday to do this. We simply need to start to apply it. Our health, sanity, and quality of life are dependent on these choices.
Let Your De-Miseration Begin!
