The Force of Tension that is; that internal force that robs our muscles of oxygen, and causes us pain.
There is nothing worse than the agony of chronic low-back, shoulder or neck pain. The pain seems to stay with us no matter what we try to do to alleviate it. After months of pain we may strangely begin to get used to it, and think this is what our normal is now, but having pain all the time is not normal at all. Chronic pain is a message from our bodies to ourselves, and it is telling us that we need to find a solution. Tension-based pain (TBP) is difficult to recognize, but often surprisingly easy to resolve. After two decades of agonizing pain, my low-back pain was gone in two weeks.
Chronic back pain is often caused by the lack of oxygen to those tensed muscles. When those muscles are in a tightened state the blood flow is restricted, and therefore the muscles do not receive the appropriate amount of oxygen. Muscles starved for oxygen are left in a fragile state, and will eventually spasm, and fail. These weakened muscles become overwhelmed, and eventually we will experience a frightening pain event, which is just our muscles telling us ‘we need more oxygen!”
Don’t let your muscles suffer and fail. This is your body, and you need to fix the problem NOW.
Thankfully, muscle tension can be overcome, and the cause of the tension can be managed.
Start with your muscle tension, and find ways relax them, and control them. If you have low-back pain, think about a hand that it tightened around your lower spine, and imagine freeing yourself from that grip.
Then look at your stress, and your reaction to the pressures and events in your life. These two concepts are the beginning of your cure from TBP.
Use your Force to end TBP for good!
